Lucia Lloyd joined St. Stephen's in 2008 after three years as Assistant Rector at St. Thomas, Richmond. She brings energy, enthusiasm, and her experience from St. Thomas in leading outreach and adult education programs, preaching, leading worship, and providing pastoral care.
Before seminary, Lucia taught English at Linden Hall School, St.
Margaret's School, and Rappahannock Community College. She has also served
as a chaplain at MCV Hospital.Her education includes an M.A. in English from
Middlebury College (Bread Loaf School of English), an M.A.R. in Religion and
Literature from Yale Divinity School, and an M.Div. from Virginia
Theological Seminary.
Lucia lives in Tappahannock with her husband Marshall, who is a Latin
teacher at St. Margaret's School, and their two daughters, ages seven and
nine.
