As we look forward to the warmer months ahead, we are thrilled to invite our children and youth to participate in the 2026 Shrine Mont Summer Camps!
Almost Heaven...
Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains in Orkney Springs, Virginia, Shrine Mont Camps have been providing life-enriching experiences for over 60 years. Managed by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, these camps offer a wonderful opportunity for young people to explore God’s creation, build lifelong friendships, and engage in fun activities within a supportive Christian community.

Senior High Youth Conference
Explorers: The Great!
Explorers’ Camp immerses adventurous kids in the woods around Shrine Mont, where they hike scenic trails, learn to care for God’s creation, and enjoy swimming, crafts, and games. Guided by experienced counselors, campers build self-reliance through overnight camping, teamwork, and leave with lasting friendships, confidence, and pride.

Explorers: The Great!
Calling all adventurers! This teenage extension of Explorers' Camp, “The Great,” is for older campers who are ready to explore the great outdoors. The Great campers enjoy some time at basecamp at Shrine Mont, but a lot of the time they’re out on extended multi-day backpacking and canoeing expeditions in and around the Shenandoah Valley.

The Senior High Youth Conference blends traditional camp fun with community outreach and vocational reflection, encouraging teens to grow in leadership and faith through service.
