The St. Stephen's Book Club began in 2007. We have been meeting regularly every month until the Covid-19 lock down. The book club has recently begun meeting again. We read a variety of books both fiction and nonfiction. We read current best sellers as well as recent popular books and some not so recent popular books. We also read about two classics each year. Sometimes we will read a science-based book written for the general public.
An average meeting consists of about twelve people. Sometimes we have had twenty people attend and as few as about five. Each month the book club is hosted by a member of the book club in their home. It is at the host's discretion about how to prepare and serve refreshments. Typically, the host provides beverages but may ask other members to bring a dish to share or the host may opt to serve just hors d'oeuvres. The meetings tend to be lively, fun, and engaging.
The book club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM and typically lasts a couple of hours. If you are interested in joining the book club or would like more information, please contact Greg Balchin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
